It’s official! Chris Meloni has joined the cast of True Blood for season 5. According to executive producer Alan Ball, the former Law & Order: SVU front man will play, ”An ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands.” Which makes him part of the Authority, eh?

He may be with the Authority, but I bet he goes by the name Appius Livius Ocella. He won’t be described as Eric’s maker, but he may have been Godric’s maker. Just a thought…

I’ve liked Chris Meloni ever since his days on “Oz”. He plays powerful with a hint of crazy really well, so he should be a great addition.
Actually Tabby, I was wondering if he’ll somehow be connected to Russell, like his maker or one of his first progenies? He may be the reason Russell was released at the end of last season.
