Now that Mrs. Emery has become the mother of twins what changes can we expect in her professional future, if any? Well, it seems one has finally come to light. Tom Hiddleston has revealed his next film project has been put on hold after co-star Anna Paquin became a mum.
The star of Thor and War Horse is due to play a criminal who attempts to stage an armed robber with a call girl, due to be played by Anna, in crime thriller Black Wings Has My Angel.
But True Blood star Anna gave birth to twins last month.
Tom said: “Black Wings Has My Angel is based on a novel by Elliott Chaze, it’s a sort of noir thriller. It’s a great script. I signed onto it a long, long time ago.
“Anna Paquin was going to play opposite me, she’s had a baby, so being a mum is much more important than being whatever that low life character is.
“It was a sort of fun noir thing, but it’s way, way off in the future.

Given that we haven’t seen anything of either Stephen or Anna recently, I am working on the hopeful assumption that the twins are at home. Both Steve and Anna appear to be very hands-on parents, so it will take a fair amount of time to work out the logistics of caring for infant twins in addition to Steve’s other children. I have no doubt that the future holds many performing opportunities for both of them.
Tim Hiddleston was gracious in his comments about the delay in filming what sounds like an interesting film. Good on him.

That’s true, we haven’t seen Anna in a LONG time! I hope as well that the babies are at home & healthy, with their loving parents taking care of them.

BUT ANNA ST ILL GONNA BE SOOKIE TILL THE END WITH BILL?…SINCE STEPHEN HAS AN EX WITH KIDS …THEN SHE SHE WOULD BE GREAT TO WATCH OVER THE TWINS WHILE STEPHEN AND ANNA WORKING ?UNLESS ANNA CAN MISS OUT ONE MOVIE TILL THE TWINS GETS ALITTLE OLDER..THEY BOTH DONT NEED TO SPENT LONG HOURS WORKING AND SO LITTLE TIME WITH THE TWINS…I KNOW ANNA WONT WONNA SPENT ALL HER TIME AT WORK….HOWEVER WE ONLY SEE ANNA AS SOOKIE..THATS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME TO SEE!WHY? Mum by day, hooker by night…. girl could totally pull it off!
She has said she is obsessive about her work, plans to keep working. Now that she has those sweet babies in her arms… could definitely see her cutting back a tad, at least for a bit. But imagine she will have the help she needs to be both a highly involved mom and carry on with her work… both from her lovely husband and others.

No surprises here. I suspect the very private Anna will guard those sweet babies like a mother lioness does with her cubs! lol
She’s probably not thinking so much about ‘filming’ anything for the foreseeable future, except True Blood. [And maybe cutting back on TB time, as well! by the looks of 10 episodes for Season 6].
Anna did say she likes to work, but this wouldn’t be the first time that Motherhood changes priorities.;)
I hope both Anna & Stephen get to spend all the time they need with their new little family.
Sam Trammel and his wife have twins, too:) So, I’m sure that’s a wealth of valuable info right there!
Of course, there is always the option, if we get less ‘Sookie,’ that probably means we get MORE ‘BILL!’

Hooker by night…. you’re right, she likely could pull it off!
Actually, I remember reading somewhere about some actresses that had their children with them on set and are with them all the time and then nannies are with the kids when they were needed for a take.
With Stephen being on the same show and likely not a whole lot of scenes together with Sookie anymore, either one of them could be in their trailers with the twins at any given time.
It’s not such a big deal while they’re wee babes, I’m sure it wouldn’t be practical once they’re older, but it would definitely give Mom and Dad more time and interaction with the babes!
Being apart from the twins will likely be 100 times harder on them than on the babies!
I too would love to see Anna in a starring role, I recently watched Fly Away Home and it was so cute to see her and think, “Good god, what a little pistol she was and how the hell does she turn into Sookie!” LOL! You know the thing that always surprises me is that after five years of Sookie, I forget that she’s got dark hair!
**sigh** Can you just imagine what those babies will look like with dark hair from Mommy and Daddy and maybe Daddy’s blue eyes? There’s little doubt that those two are most likely beautiful enough to be Baby Gap models!
I hope they are all adjusting, adapting and like most parents, seriously sleep deprived! LOL! Best advice to any new parent… when the baby sleeps YOU sleep!
Although, being actors and seeing their shootings are done on a lot of overnights and such, Stephen and Anna probably haven’t had a hard time adjusting to weird hours from the start! LOL!

Wanda – a popular magazine published that they had a boy and a girl. I still would like to hear a definitive statement by Anna, Stephen, or their agents/managers, but that’s all we’ve gotten so far.
That statement by Tom Hiddleston is interesting. I didn’t even know about this film project. Wonder when it will happen?
I recently saw Anna in “The Member of the Wedding” with Alfre Woodard. It was on cable. I had never seen it. It was great! Anna was this little girl with short dark hair. She did a southern accent very well, I thought.
Time sure does fly, and I’m sure it’s flying by for the Emerys. It’s almost November. It’ll be January before you know it and they’ll be filming. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we got to see a Christmas / New year’s card photo of the family?
WW – Stephen was pretty blond as a youngster. I wonder if the babies will follow suit?
BTW, I just love that pic, Stephen is looking at Anna with such love..sigh!
