Title Change & Casting Info

It seems it’s never too early for a title change, and we’ve got the first one of the season. Episode #603 has been changed from “Rock Hard Times” to “Abducted”. Along with this are a number of casting calls, some of them fairly minor.

  • Dr. Overlark, a ruthless 50-year-old advisor to Governor Burrell (recurring guest star).
  • Hido Takahashi, a 50-year-old university science professor who likes to talk about himself.
  • Maggie, a pregnant 35-year-old who is upset because she thinks her husband has run away with another woman.
  • Two co-star roles, police deputies who search a cabin.

    1. Hmmmm. I wonder who is abducted? Sookie, perhaps? In Dead and.Gone, Sookie is abducted and tortured by fairies. She is subsequently saved by Bill and Niall. Since Niall is making and appearance this season, I wonder if this might be ar least part of the storyline. It will be interesting to find out.

    2. I liked the title “Rock Hard Times”! Sounds interesting – spec on who will be abducted.

    3. Clearly I don’t have enough to think about. If Sookie is the one abducted, maybe this will give ‘Billith’ something purposeful to do that pulls him out of his red tinged funk. :)

    4. Has anyone compared the lyrics of the two song titles to see what can be made of them?

    5. Abducted by Cult

I knew right then that I’d been abducted
I knew right then that he would be taking my heart
I knew right then no one was above him
I knew right then that he would be breaking my heart

He tore me apart because I really loved him
He took my heart away and left me to bleed out, bleed out
He broke my heart because I really loved him
He took it all away and left me to bleed out, bleed out

I knew right then that she’d been abducted
I knew right then that I would be taking her heart
I knew right then that I’d never love her
The reasons I hope the dream hasn’t left her scarred

He tore me apart because I really loved him
He took my heart away and left me to bleed out, bleed out
He broke my heart because I really loved him
He took it all away and left me to bleed out, bleed out

He tore me apart because I really loved him
He took my heart away and left me to bleed out, bleed out
He broke my heart because I really loved him
He took it all away and left me to bleed out, bleed out

      Rock Hard Times by Eels

They told me that I couldn’t come back here again
Took me for some kind of fool
Said I was doing things that never should be done
But I don’t care about their rules

As if I cared ’bout the little minds
In the little heads of the herd
      There’s nothing you could dream
      Would be more absurd

And everybody knows these are rock hard times
      I gotta make it through
      These are rock hard times

I don’t know what it is they’re trying to do to me
Make me into some sick joke
      But no one’s laughing
And least of all not me
It’s hard to laugh as you choke

Hollywood lies piled up to the sky
      Floating your way soon
Hope you like the rotten stench of doom

And everybody knows these are rock hard times
      I gotta make it through
      These are rock hard times

And everybody knows these are rock hard times
      I gotta make it through
      These are rock hard times

I don’t know what it is they think I’m gonna try
They don’t know what they need to fear
The surest sign that the end is coming soon
Is right there in the bathroom mirror

Everybody knows these are rock hard times
      I gotta make it through
      These are rock hard times
      These are rock hard times
