[UPDATE] HBO posted these two preview clips for True Blood episode 509, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.” The first features Sookie and Lafayette and the second features Bill and Eric. So, who all still thinks Bill’s playing the long con? [There was also a clip of Jessica, Jason, and Kenya, but that has been removed by HBO]
All I know is if he’s not playing than I am lost too…the big switcheroo from Bill doesn’t add up IMO. He feels guilty for not choosing to turn his daughter into what he loathed in the past so he kill’s a innocent mother, he see’s Lilith when high as a kite so now he’ll side with the Sanginista’s and give them the idea to blow up the TB factory.
OK…I’m with Eric on this one Bill needs to shut it. And it hurt me to type Eric was right.:)
So I’m still going with he’s playing the long con. Did you see the way he was scanning the room as he entered? And I find it odd that Bill would tell Eric “I’m lost,I don’t know who to trust” it was a bit weird. Yeah they relied on each other in the past few days but it just seemed out of his zone to share “such” information with Eric.
If they do choose to make Bill lost in his beliefs and go the way of the Sangs they better make it worth putting the character through the ringer again.

It’s kind of hard to know what to think here. I can see both scenarios that purpleprince mentions above, but it’s still so hard to think of Bill giving up on everything he believes in.

I need real proof before I believe that Bill is lost, sorry, but that’s how I feel. This clip is nowhere near being “real” proof.

I agree, concerning Bill, I will wait to see what happens.
Interesting, Godric choosing and turning Nora 600 years ago because she was, and I assume is still, a political genius? Did he have a long term plan for her but was disappointed in where she was directing that genius? But then again 600 years ago, wasnt Godric still very much a vampire?
All in all so much here doesn’t quite jive.

I hope that Bill is only playing. If not it takes more than what we saw so far to convince me why he gives up everything he believes in. He was already mainstreaming before he even knew that it existed! So please HBO if Bill really goes to the dark side make it believable!

I’m totally on board with the “suddenly in one or two nights Bill has genuinely gone dark” story line. And like you, I do hope he’s playing them. I hate it when they make a leap with no transition or sensible path. And yep I’m tired of them f**kin with Bill.

@purpleprince you said it very well, Bill gave Eric “clues” to his true feelings and we will just have to wait and see or the writers just truly want to switch things up and Bill got switched too fast.

I saw a interview that Bill might be palying after all. Ausello interviewed AB and said He might have something up his sleave still. We will have to see but anyway I love him which ever way he comes~ especailly naked.
