This great little behind the scenes video features Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin discussing the scene in “Hopeless” when Bill ‘glamours’ Sookie. It’s so interesting to hear Steve and Anna’s thoughts about what is going on in this scene!

It’s a great little clip… definitly reiterates how important the relationship between Bill and Sookie is.. and how much it really means.
I’m even okay with giving some credence to her relationship with Eric, even though it was a very different thing from Bill/Sookie. It was still an important part of Sookie growing and learning about love. With a broken heart and a blank slate guy worshipping her, I can see why she developed strong feelings.
But it was still Bill telling her goodbye

Yes, It was Bill saying goodbye. He was telling her to move on. I cried.

HMMM, Anna somewhat discusses Sookies relationship with both men but doesnt say that Eric was a “love” of hers.
Bill may be her first love but it seems not the only reason she is so bonded with him.
How many times must Bill try to say goodbye?
Though heartbreaking every time, I have a feeling this is not goodbye forever for the lovers, Bill and Sookie.

Reveals another trait about Bill in the sixth episode which adds another layer to his character
S1E6: We find out vampires have the ability to love where Bill goes to Sookie after dreaming of her.
S2E6: We see just how “dark” Bill was with Lorena to where in nearly 70 years where we understand why it was hard for him to understand his humanity.
S3E6: He in fact did love Lorena and does enjoy being a vampire but embraced his humanity in order to become whole
S4E6: Bill is willing to let the woman he loves go despite impulses abuse his power; to which he can either kill her or the competition .
S5E6: In the face of death declares to Sookie she must be happy because it is something she deserves.
