Don't make fun of my mullet!!!
Another week, another new video! As was mentioned last week, every Friday morning, we’re picking a different video clip from one of Steve’s projects to highlight.
Since we started the week with an interview of Steve’s from 1997 on the Prince Valiant set, it only seemed fitting to end the week with Prince Valiant. And, we were fortunate enough to find the entire film uploaded on YouTube! Check here for Simply Moyer’s synopsis of the film.

Entertaining, campy and sweet. Fun film.
Yong Steve is so cute and has great chemistry with Katherine Heigle. But then again Steve has great chemistry with everyone. Its got to be in the genes. (and jeans, eh?)

Two hours of out of control laughter … I remember something like this happening this past summer while a group of women watched this flick. Do you have such memories, Nia?

This is just a great little fun film and sigh, does this talented guy ever look anything but sex on a stick to die for?
I think not.
I had to order this from Sweden cause I was so desperate to it but here it is, wow, thanks for the treat and the earlier interview.
Off to watch it again …and again & maybe again.

Love this funny, comic booky film. Stephen is adorable…and speaking from someone who lives in tthe founding land of the mullet …that ain’t no mullet…that’s a page boy.

Agree Piper – it is a page boy haircut. A Mullet is short on top with long hair at the back.

Lizzie and Piper – You ladies got it right – that’s a page boy. I’ve actually heard it referred to as a Prince Valiant also.
Stephen is so darn cute in this movie. He’s totally watchable – for me the only reason to watch. The fight scenes were endless, but it was fun to see Stephen wielding a sword, wearing armor, and riding a horse. It seems like a lot of hard work!
Thanks so much for making this available to watch – I love seeing him in his earlier films.

i remember very well watching it last summer, and it was a laugh riot, just like Aem said. i am still trying to figure out why the poor lad’s armor didn’t rust, given how much time he spent in the drink. Steve was adorable, although Ms. Heigl looked about 12 years old in this one. Definitely one of high camp’s greatest moments and good fun. Steve said in an interview that people told hiim that this movie would rocket him to stardom, but he knew it would not, as he had read the script, LOL!
So glad that True Blood came along and did just that.

aem, I remember that evening well. It’s one of my favorite memories. On your couch with SoD and Nia and Shirley laughing like mental patients at the German subtitles.
Right on Lizzinator it is a page boy. As I remember you were the one adult in the room. Ahh memories…what a great week that was.
