To say that I am excited about this project is an understatement. I have been following the case of the West Memphis 3 ever since HBO aired the first documentary, “Paradise Lost: The Child Murders of Robin Hood Hills.” I HIGHLY recommend it. They’ve done subsequent documentaries. It is an absolutely chilling peek inside the U.S. judicial system. I’m gonna stop myself before I write a thesis/mega rant…

Forgot to add: I’ve seen a few of Atom Egoyan’s works and he’s a good filmmaker. “The Sweet Hereafter” comes to mind as a standout and I think he directed “Exotica”.
Also, it’s gonna be quite the challenge for Steve to play a character based on a real person. I suspect a lot of people who will be interested in seeing this film will be very familiar with the actual footage from the trial, so he’s gonna have to get his characterization down pat! Although I know he’ll be up to the challenge!

This could very well be a break out film for Steve. I so can’t wait, Steve and Colin Firth in the same film. WOW!

I am very excited and happy for Steve. Atom Agoyan, who is a Canuck, btw, is a very talented and celebrated filmmaker. This movie looks like a real winner already. I am also chuffed that Colin Firth is in it as well. Two of my favourite British actors in the same film, priceless! Yes, SoD, Agoyan did direct Exotica, and I loved The Sweet Hereafter.
Congratulations to Steve on getting this part. He completely deserves all the wonderful things happening in his life right now. Karma is a wonderful thing.

On the silly note: I’m in heaven with Steve and Colin Firth in the same movie. If my tumblr skills were quicker I’d do a side by side photo of Bill Compton and Mr. Darcy with a funny line.
Serious note: thanks SoD for all the extra info about this important chapter in American Judical injustice. I am so happy for Stephen and his participation in this film and I have no doubt he will play his part with excellence. The book and documentary all seem compelling.

Fantastic news! Great cast! And the story is compelling, to say the least. I know Stephen will do a great job portraying the man who engineered a judicial debacle of immense proportion.
I’m certainly on board for this flick!

Stephen and Colin in the same movie together! My panties are all knotted up again!
The movie sounds like it will be a must see, not just because of the handsome Bits cast, but the story. I am familiar with this case. Wow! Should be incredible.
Another movie for Stephen, cant wait.

This is great for Stephen but I’m all about the story itself. I worked with one of the many groups that worked to get these young men freed.
How much did I believe in this? I’m former law enforcement and those kids should have never spent a day in jail, much less the years they did.
This role for Stephen is indeed an important one and while I have issues with the person he’s portraying, I know he’ll do an incredible job bringing the truth of how things really happened. I am really thrilled that they’ve chosen a man of his talent and caliber to do this movie right!
Way to go Mr. Moyer, many blessings for taking this role!
