Stephen Moyer On Feeling Like a Kid in a Toy Shop

Steve was interviewed by MTV during Comic Con and discussed his directing debut for True Blood 5.08, “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Since this interview was conducted prior to the airing of the episode, he was careful to not include any spoilers. He did share that the generous budget allotted him made him feel “like a kid in a toy shop.” Enjoy the video.

    1. In the beginning of this interview, Steve looks SO tired. However, when he starts talking about how his casual mentions of ‘wouldn’t it be nice’ if we could do this or that his face lights up and the fatigue falls away. I am so happy that he had the opportunity to do this thing that made him so happy.

    2. Tabby, I agree that it is fantastic that he was given this opportunity to direct a very difficult episode of the show. I think he’s proven that he’s capable of directing just about anything, regardless of the scale. And you can definitely tell that he was overjoyed that he was finally able to fulfill a dream.

    4. So great to see Stephen talk about directing. You can just see the joy on his face, and hear it in his voice. He just loves film, and the making of a film. He got to do what he’s been wanting to do for so long, and he did a bang-up job!

This was also my favorite episode this season! Stephen really knows how to direct a sex scene. That Alcide/Rikki scene was super hot!
