Simply Moyer Spotlights the Fan

It’s Wednesday and it’s fan day on Simply Moyer. This week we’re showcasing the artistic talents of BillsNia, a true and avid fan of Steve’s. Done in charcoal and shading pencils and using minimal colour on fine tooth recycled sketch paper, she has captured Stephen Moyer from two different times in his life.

BillsNia says – “I have not done real serious sketching since my Bowie days, I guess I had not come across a model I found worth my time and efforts. Stephen is worth both.”

Oops! Well, Bowie played a vampire too!

If you have something you’d like to see on “Simply Moyer Spotlights the Fan” we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a creation by you or a friend, or you simply found it on the web and want to share your discovery, just drop us a line at: smadmin@simplymoyer.com. The only requirement? It’s gotta contain Steve in some form … not too hard, eh?

    2. Ohh so love Christopher Wainwright and that lovely hair and those blue eyes from 2009.
And Bowie – I’ve been front row at a concert, you captured him.

    4. All the sketches are great, but there’s just something about “Young Steve” that keeps my eyes going back to it.

      Thanks for sharing, Billsnia.

    7. I don’t know what to say but a very humble “Thank You” to you all for enjoying these sketches and for your kind words.

I am not a professional artist by any means of the word, I’m just a fan. The little I’ve done in the past has been purely for pleasure. I was not kidding when I said I have not done serious sketching since the few of David Bowie (more years ago than I care to mention), of which one is above, and my favorite. Blame lack of time and inspiration since then.

David did inspire a younger me, in a different way, by his boundless talent, passion, intensity and incredible features.
      (SOD would agree with me)

I only tried to capture a small bit of it.

Then this man walked into a bar called Merlottes.

Lets just say I was finally inspired once again, and continue to be inspired.

I thank Alan Ball every day for recognizing, as I and so many others, the boundless talents, passion, intensity, generosity of spirit, and chiseled beauty of this incredible man, Stephen Moyer.
      Sound familiar? ;)

I only tried to capture a small bit of it.

Lastly, I raise my glass to the wonderful ladies here at Simply Moyer who work tirelessly to bring us everything Stephen and for allowing us to share a little bit of this passion within ourselves.

      À votre santé/à ta santé!

      Cheers!

    12. BillsNia – You are so talented! Who knew? I am so happy to see these and I hope you continue. We can’t get enough of Bill, and I love the early Stephen one too. Thanks for showing them.
I have some artistic family members, but I am talentless, I’m afraid. My hat’s off to you!

    13. Thank you Iamtrue2bill. That is most kind of you to say.

Stephen has such beautiful facial structure (and the rest of him of course) drawing him is an artists dream and an honor.

I look forward to doing more……
