HBO has released two new preview clips from True Blood episode 5.08, “Somebody That I Used to Know.” You may have heard this a time or two, but this is the episode directed by the dude who plays Bill. This would be the same episode that we’ve been waiting with baited breath for. Quite a few people have mentioned that the director did a kick ass job, and soon we’ll all get to see for ourselves.
The first clip, titled “What Happened?” features Bill, Eric and the gang returning to Authority HQ after their night of debauchery on Bourbon Street. The second clip, titled “A Glimmer of Hope” features Sookie and Claude. Check ‘em out and tell us what you think!

obviously hallucinations, they are high as a kite! I am worried for Bill now, he doesn’t have anyone to help him except Eric….
I have no idea how they can get “out” with their lives.

I know HBO cuts these previews to mislead and titillate, but it does seem that Bill is going very dark. His ‘evolving’ comment seems to lead to the conclusion.
One of the frequent criticisms of ‘Book’ Bill is that he is weak and uninteresting because of his own self-loathing, that he seems to not like himself very much as a vampire. I would suggest that AB will have Bill embrace his vampire nature more fully in TB. If that is the case it ought to be a very interesting journey.
Whatever is in the script of our hero, I know will be brought to life beautifully by Steve. I’m totally looking forward to Sunday night and episode 8.

I always got the impression that TB Bill was more self loathing than book Bill. But that all seemed to change last season, when King Bill took his role seriously and rose to the challenge of putting the vampires’ best interests first. It’s so hard to say whether Bill’s descent into darkness will be short lived or how he will come out of it. I’m actually liking the thought of Jessica being the one to eventually help him out.

I wonder how Godric was able to communicate with Eric and apparently pull him out of the “trip” all the other vampires, including Bill, are on. It’s a confusing piece of this story for me.
Yes, if Bill is going down a dark path, Stephen will do a marvelous job of portraying that in a real and frightening way, I have no doubt.
I am anxious to see how his journey evolves further. No other character has been through so many changes, and faced so many challenges. Bill is such an amazing character, and Stephen is outstanding in bringing him to undead life!
Bring on episode 5:08 – so anxious to see it!

yes, iamtrue2bill, the Godric appearance made no sense to me whatsoever. And Eric being the saviour of Bill also makes no sense since Eric has not been shown to be able to get himself out of any screwups, and now he is suppose to help Bill and Nora? Does not compute.

This is the most anticipated episode of the season!

Of course the blood was a hallucinagenic…that’s what it would take to get Bill to laugh and smile like that…
No matter what path they take Bill down, Stephen will do a great job portraying him…can’t wait.

This is the episode we are all looking forward to.
Stephen will of course rock it, acting and directing.
I wonder if the age of the vampire ingesting Lilliths blood has anything to do with how much they are affected by it.
Seems they were all pretty high, but what about the lasting affects?
I guess we will have to wait and see.
