Updated: New Bill Compton Spoilers for True Blood?

Some new spoilers come by way of Andy Swift of Hollywood Life, but take them with a grain of salt as he doesn’t name his source for these Bill Compton spoilers. And when there’s no source, I gotta wonder why …

Bill Compton has always been Bon Temps’ most virtuous vampire — often to a fault — but as True Blood edges closer to its fifth season finale, Sookie’s ex-fiancé might also be edging closer to the dark side. According to fresh spoilers, “Bill slips into religious fervor” on the Aug. 19 episode, which prompts to Sookie to “seek insight from the faerie Elder.”

But wait, it gets so much worse.

Apparently Eric “tries to save Bill from losing his humanity” on the Aug. 26 season finale — ironically titled “Save Yourself” — which could set up a potentially disastrous story line for the newly announced sixth season.

Once again, these are unsubstantiated, so consider it rumour for now!

AHA! Sometimes we’re slow on the uptake, but we know where Andy Swift got his spoilers. They’re not actually spoilers, but  one line synopsis’ for the last four episodes of Season 5 that Andy has speculated on. Andy you need to play our “What the Hell is That?” contest. You’d be awesome!

  1. Hmmm…. Religious fervor could mean a lot.. and it would be a big change for Eric to try and help Bill, although that’s been where he’s been going this season. And he knows Bill’s humanity is important, and part of who he is, so I guess helping him ‘save himself’ could make sense. Although that doesn’t jive with the Bill/Sookie love scene we’ve also sort of heard about in the finale, unless it’s somebody’s dream….

I guess we’ll have to wait and see!!

  2. If TB goes the way of Bill being evil, we have no idea how long it’ll last. I can see the acid trip (epi 8 ) the vampires are on being caused by drinking Lilith’s blood. Maybe this would cause Bill to go all “religious” and once again lose a semblance of his humanity. Eric drags him back … one, two epi’s, hopefully done by the end of the season.

  3. Alan Ball always says that nothing is as it seems in TB. What you may think is happening is not really. If what is being said is true with Bill, it could also be Bill faking the religious fervor to convince others of something. His character is always very smart.

  4. Interesting. Wonder if that line by Salome was foreshadowing. “He’s looking for something to believe in.”
Me, I’m looking for episode 8, the one Stephen directed. :)

  5. I for one am looking forward to this, if Bill does turn down the dark path, then the drama and story arc for him gets bigger, so more Bill for us to enjoy.

I do wonder about the line about Sookie seeking help from an Elder Fae, is it really about helping Bill or something else?

And the sex scenes that Anna and Stephen were filming together for the final episode, if true then how does that fit in with the ‘evil’ Bill story?

It makes me more excited, not less, the more Bill/Stephen on my screen the better, whether he is ‘good Bill’ or ‘evil Bill’.

  6. Will have to see how this plays out…. there’s a part of me that is so totally weary of Bill not getting any break at all. Yet the dimensions of his character are incredible and SM’s portrayal of each facet is just poetry to watch. For now I’ll leave it at… intriguing.

  7. If the rumors about Stephen and Anna filming a sex scene for the finale are true, it might have to do with Sookie helping Bill by bringing him back from losing his humanity. It didn’t specify how Eric was gonna save Bill. This season has given us some subtle hints to Sookie and Bill slowly working their way back. A person posted that Claude and his sister takes Sookie to see the elder faery because she knows something about a family secret. I think Alan or Anna said something about an agreement made hundreds of years ago will have a profound effect on her.

  8. I am a little concerned about Bill going all dark but if it gives Stephen more screen time then I’m all for it!!!

  9. All these theories sounds Bill-licious, can hardly wait for them to play out but very slowly!

  10. I’m liking the thoughts of lots of Bill in these final episodes! Bring it on!
