The Best of Stephen Moyer: The Interviews
Another Monday, another interview with Stephen Moyer! Today, we decided to feature a compilation piece, which was aired on HBO prior to the premiere of True Blood. Hard to believe that when this piece originally aired on HBO, Steve was a relatively unknown actor. My, how things have changed……
Be sure to come back on Wednesday to check out Simply Moyer Spotlights the Fan and Friday to see Stephen Moyer’s Career in Video.
Another Clip of Stephen Moyer in The Double
We’re not sure how this one passed us by, but Image Entertainment had also released this video clip from The Double at the same time they released the Brutus clip. This one’s called “The Double-Escape Clip”, which is pretty self explanatory. We call it the, “Hot damn, Steve looks sexy in that tank top” clip! Isn’t it interesting that Steve’s part in this film was so small, yet his role has been so prominently featured in the promotion? As has been mentioned before (and probably will be again!), The Double will be released on January 31st.
Our apologies in advance if this clip isn’t viewable to those in other countries.
Why Stephen Moyer Chose Brutus Role
To promote the DVD and Blu Ray release of The Double, Hollywood.com has posted a video clip from the Blu Ray extras featuring an interview with Stephen Moyer and Topher Grace. In the clip, Steve explains that although his scenes were few, he had to make them all count. He also discusses the battery-eating scene.
Steve mentioned the battery-eating scene in a prior interview for the film. You can read that interview here.
The Double will be released on DVD and Blu Ray on January 31st.
Stephen Moyer’s Career in Video
Another week, another new video! As was mentioned last week, every Friday morning, we’re picking a different video clip from one of Steve’s projects to highlight.
Since we started the week with an interview of Steve’s from 1997 on the Prince Valiant set, it only seemed fitting to end the week with Prince Valiant. And, we were fortunate enough to find the entire film uploaded on YouTube! Check here for Simply Moyer’s synopsis of the film.
Simply Moyer Spotlights the Fan
It’s Wednesday and it’s fan day on Simply Moyer. This week we’re showcasing the artistic talents of BillsNia, a true and avid fan of Steve’s. Done in charcoal and shading pencils and using minimal colour on fine tooth recycled sketch paper, she has captured Stephen Moyer from two different times in his life.
BillsNia says – “I have not done real serious sketching since my Bowie days, I guess I had not come across a model I found worth my time and efforts. Stephen is worth both.”
If you have something you’d like to see on “Simply Moyer Spotlights the Fan” we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a creation by you or a friend, or you simply found it on the web and want to share your discovery, just drop us a line at: smadmin@simplymoyer.com. The only requirement? It’s gotta contain Steve in some form … not too hard, eh?
