Stephen Moyer gave an interview to SFX magazine as part of their True Blood celebration issue. The third season of HBO’s True Blood airs currently in the UK. Thanks to LostSoul for sending us these great scans!
Steve talks about how he puts on four elements -hair, clothes, make up, Southern accent – that transform him into Bill Compton: “… I wear very specific “Bill” clothes which are not mine, not the way I dress, and I have an accent, so it’s those four things. So when you look in the mirror, when you see me with the make up, I become him.”
Read the interview in our Scans Gallery! (Psst! come back here to comment!)
Yesterday Stephen Moyer was photographed by the paps as he left a gym, presumably after a hot, sweaty, very manly workout. Thanks so much to our sister site, PaquinAnna for the pics!
La la la … somethin’s still missin’ from this picture …
UPDATE: The comments link for True Blood at PaleyFest is working! Click the link below and send in your intelligent and fascinating questions!
Now this is a pretty cool feature of the upcoming Paleyfest: You can leave a question on their Web site for members of the True Blood panel and that includes Stephen Moyer! The cast will appear on Saturday, March 5 at 7 p.m. PST at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California.
So get in there and ask your burning questions to Steve such as “Where the hell are Bill’s sideburns”? or “How hard was it to kick Queen Sophie-Ann’s ass in that fight?”
Pinin’ for some Steve are ya? Well, you’ll get three minutes of him in the near future as LStudio.com debuts on January 26 their weekly 3 Minute Talk Show with Barry Sobel. We’ll keep an eye out for Steve’s episode.
Here’s a trailer of the upcoming shows, Steve appears at the 1:33 mark.
What can Steve do in three minutes? I’m sure that’s plenty of time for his naughty wit to shine through!
Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin – real life husband and wife – were spotted at an interior design store on January 24. The couple left with a brief case. The same day they were seen leaving a gym together, all sweaty and stuff. It’s nice to see them out and about doing normal stuff but the burning question is still …
Where are Bill Compton’s damn sideburns?
Enjoy more pics of our favorite couple working out and shopping in the Gallery.
This is one we all love ’cause it’s got lots of Steve and it’s a creepy, atmospheric thriller! Our Teahead does the movie and Steve’s performance justice in her spot-on review.
“Restraint” is a 2008 Australian thriller starring Stephen Moyer as Andrew, an agoraphobic art dealer, Teresa Palmer as Dale and Travis Fimmel as Ron – two fugitives looking for shelter in Andrew’s house from law enforcement. The movie is a sublime, classic thriller, with intriguing plot, great suspense and fantastic acting performances. The surroundings are spare, the whole story is credible and wrapped around the three characters. It is unclear who is the victim, who is the manipulator, who plays the survival game and who sets its tone. The proportions of the “hunter becomes hunted” change many times and that dynamic is one of the strongest points of the movie.
Dale and Ron are fugitives who ran away after killing two people and need to hide from the police. Ron decides they need to change the car they’re driving and thus they arrive at Andrew’s house. Their attempt to take the car is swiftly abandoned when the couple sees Andrew’s luxurious house so they decide to terrorize him and take his money to use it to escape to Thailand. The disturbance Andrew faces greatly affects his health condition and he soon becomes completely over-powered by his hostage-takers. Or does he?

Here’s a short vid of Steve interacting with fans at the PCA earlier this month. It’s a different angle on vids we’ve already posted but you can stand a little more Steve, right? I knew you could.
>We all love Stephen Moyer’s portrayal of super-hot vampire Bill Compton on “True Blood.” Be honest! A good many of us wish we could have Henley-wearin’ Bill with a bouquet of roses at our doors on Valentine’s Day, right? So let’s have some fun and test your scribbling skills! We’re looking for the three best essays on What Makes Bill Compton the Best Valentines’ Day Vampire Ever!
Here’re the contest rules:
No more than 300 words per essay (not a fic, please, but an essay)
Our lovely TC wrote an example that we hope will inspire all y’all to fire up your keyboards and get busy!
There are so many vampires to choose from this Valentine’s Day but there is only one filled with enough passion, in every aspect of his existence, to set him apart from the rest of the blood-sucking world. With his great taste and his ability to shop for clothes, one can be assured of a great gift in this department … maybe a pink petticoat just to satisfy his urges.
His dedication to his evil maker shows us that, even when faced with the harsh reality of life, a girl can still get a nice piece of jewelry from her lover. Even if the corpse he got it from isn’t quite dead yet.
If flowers and gifts aren’t enough, you can rest assured that Bill will die for his true love. Isn’t that all a girl needs? Love, security and hot sex in front of a fireplace or in the graveyard. This is why William Compton is the best Valentine Vampire a girl can have!
